Cascade Falls

This moderate, short hike (which is about 2 miles round-trip) is a must-do when in the Lake Tahoe Area. It’s right next to Emerald Bay, and it’s quite a photogenic trail. In late spring/early summer, it is usually not too cold, but it is helpful to take a light jacket just in case. Although the hike is a short distance, make sure to take some water because the view at the top makes it almost impossible to resist spending at least a few minutes taking in the view of the bay and listening to the soothing sound of the waterfall.
